Hi, I'm Alan.
I joined Larson Gross in 1980. A graduate of Washington State University, I’ve been a Certified Public Accountant since 1976. I also hold Accredited in Business Valuation and Certified in Financial Forensics credentials from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
In addition to providing tax planning and preparation services to a wide range of clients, I have previously led the firm’s business valuation and litigation support practices. I specialize in the valuation of closely-held business interests for purposes of litigation support, estate planning and taxation, and financial reporting purposes. I’ve also served as a court-appointed expert to help resolve business ownership disputes. Since 1984, I have been involved in numerous matters requiring the valuation of a business or claim, and have appeared as an expert witness in Federal, State, and County Courts.
My past board memberships include Legal Assistance by Whatcom Advocates Board, Washington Society of CPAs, Whatcom Hospice Foundation, St. Joseph Hospital Foundation, Whatcom Family YMCA and Mt. Baker Theatre Center.
Me and my wife, Rose, enjoy travelling together, and are the proud grandparents of three granddaughters. Additionally, I’m the firm’s resident expert on Washington wines.
